Why thorough inspections really matter!

This is a nightmare for a property investor.
We took over the management of a property, and we were preparing the ingoing condition report and photos for the property (before the new tenants move in) when Haley noticed that “we had a problem!”
Haley had discovered a couple of soft sections in the floor, under the carpet!! When we pulled back the carpet, we discovered that some of the floorboards had completely rotted away and there was a hole in the timber floor boards!
Luckily, we have the best trades team and we called Peter from Central Coast Maintenance (our awesome carpenter) in straight away and he repaired the floor immediately, so the new tenants could still move in as planned that very same day.
This could be a friendly reminder of the importance of having a professional building inspections completed on your investment property! So you can find these problems early and save yourself the expense of major repairs like this one.
